About the role

We’re looking for a proactive and commercially savvy FP&A Analyst to join our expanding FP&A Function. The FP&A team are integral to maintaining the profitability of the business through budgeting & forecasting, commercial analysis, and scenario modelling. The team is responsible for supporting all areas of the business and therefore a successful candidate will need to be agile in managing multiple priorities and switching from one piece of work to another. What you’ll do

The Role is split into two main parts

Budgeting and Forecasting

  • Support the Annual Budget and quarterly Reforecast process (some prior experience would be beneficial but not essential)
  • Prepare monthly Group reporting files and submissions
  • Help with ad-hoc Group reporting requirements

    Business Analysis and aiding Commercial decision making

  • Work with teams around the business to understand and make commercial decisions on areas including trading, Merchandising & Buying, pricing & promotions, Customer services, Operations & Logistics, and Marketing
  • Analyse current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses
  • Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analysing causes of unexpected variance
  • Dynamic scenario modelling for new initiatives, including sensitivity and make recommendations to aid Business decision making
  • Develop financial models and analysis to support strategic initiatives
  • Share findings with, and make recommendations to, both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Prepare presentations for Senior Management Team and directors
  • Producing weekly and monthly financial reports
  • Ad-Hoc Reporting and Analysis

 

About you

  • A background in a FP&A and/or a commercial finance function
  • Part qualified CIMA or equivalent
  • Financial modelling experience
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Track record of working in a fast-paced environment
  • Confident personality and ability to communicate effectively
  • Appetite to develop and progress
