About the role

You will be responsible for overseeing the growth of the US brand marketing from our LA office. Working closely with the wider US marketing team, you will be accountable for owning the creating key influencer and VIP relationships and managing external US agencies to drive brand awareness in this market. You will be the main point of call for the UK team in the US market and ensure the US marketing plans are streamlined with the global marketing strategy.


  • Providing recommendations to the Marketing Director and senior members of the business on the most effective ways to drive new customer acquisition in the US market.
  • Providing the Marketing Director and wider marketing team with key market insight on a regularly basis.
  • Contribute to ‘out of the box’ thinking to identify potential new platforms that interact with our 16-24 customer.
  • Working closely with the wider UK business functions including studio, product, visual merchandising and UX on US market insight and providing regular recommendations on how to improve each of these areas.
  • Communicating actions to senior management on a weekly basis and ensuring these are followed through across relevant teams.
  • Managing the USA team including team reviews and setting KPIs in annual review meetings.
  • Support on the opening of all showrooms across the USA.
  • Drives key campaign launches in the US and oversees the supporting strategy to ensure these are executed effectively across all channels.
  • Oversee the USA calendar in terms of key holiday days, activations, events // Planning of the US PR calendar and implementing team actions – being reactive to key events in the market / actively suggesting where we should be present.
  • Act as the main point of call for the UK team in the US market.
  • Ensure the US marketing plans are streamlined with global Marketing strategy.
  • Managing the PR and Events budget within the US and updating relevant POs and spend sheet alongside the Events team.
  • Oversees US sample spend budget – monthly calculations and providing broken down spend.
  • Oversee all brand partnerships in US market ensuring we are aligning with relevant brands that help drive awareness of PLT. Work with external partners on collaborative ideas ie PLT x Kreation.
  •  Look for new opportunities within the event piece and building influencer / management relationships through hosting events in the showroom.
The ideal candidate will come from a fast paced, marketing environment and will have gained experience in a comparable role where you are coordinating activity across all areas of marketing and will have a good track record of delivering ROI on marketing spend.
You should be tenacious, adept at managing teams, self-motivated and able to communicate effectively at all levels with an inquisitive and innovative approach
Good communication skills are essential as is a flexible working approach. A positive attitude and pride in your work, showing attention to detail and quality control are essential


Key functional competencies
  • Minimum of 6 years strategic experience in a fast paced digital B2C or agency environment.
  • Previous experience in managing a large team. 
  • Preferred knowledge, or evidenced interest in digital technology.
  • Effective planning, organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Excellent people skills
  • Have a good track record of delivering ROI on marketing spend
