About the role

What You Will Do:

  • Responsible for providing an efficient administration service for the full range of HR matters and for maintaining accurate records and personnel files and assisting with ad hoc project work as directed
  • Responsible for accurately completing all new starter administration including issuing of contracts, proof of eligibility, DBS checks, reference requests and setting up individual employee files
  • Ensure new starter details are set up on all HR systems and complete payroll administration
  • Maintain the company’s HR system, ensuring information is accurate and up to date
  • Make up new starter goodie bags and ensure sufficient stock is available at all times
  • Responsible for the improvement of HR processes, informing the HR Advisor/ HR Manager where processes can be streamlined or more efficient
  • Ensure file audits are carried out regularly and in line with legislative requirements
  • Responsible for ensuring new starters have required benefit arrangements in place
  • Responsible for letter production including but not limited to changes to terms and conditions, leaver processing, maternity and paternity
  • Ensure leaver process is followed accurately and payroll administration is completed.
  • Assisting the HR Advisor in coordinating and collating data for the review process and administration of retention and reward initiatives
  • Track and manage probationary reviews and end of probation confirmations to ensure that all staff are aware of their performance and receive timely feedback
  • Attendance management – ensure absence is logged accurately and return to work forms are completed
  • Assist Recruitment Advisor with recruitment administration
  • Support the HR team with IR35 administration tasks
  • Maintaining the central HR email inbox, ensuring emails are answered in a timely manor or raised with the relevant person
  • Support wider HR team on ad hoc basis
  • Ad hoc admin tasks


    What You've Got: 

    Educated to A level standard or equivalent through experience
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft package
  • Experience with excel spreadsheets at an intermediate level
  • Evidence of a confident communication style and clear written communication
  • Proactive, self-motivated and innovative style
  • Experience of working to timescales and targets
  • Experience in a past paced environment
