Finance Manager (Distribution Centre)
Role Description
We have an exciting opportunity to join our new Distribution Centre in Wellingborough as a Finance Manager. You will report into the Head of operational Finance with a dotted line into the Head of Operations. You will be responsible for managing all operational finance at our new Distribution Centre in Wellingborough, and act as a key business partner to the site. This is a real opportunity to make a difference within the Boohoo group finance team.
Key Responsibilities
- Working closely with the senior operations team to manage costs and KPI performance for the site
- Lead weekly operations finance meeting with senior members of operations team, detailing prior weeks’ performance as well highlighting key points to drive operational improvement
- Representing the site at annual budget meetings and responsible for preparation of the sites budget
- Manage quarterly forecasting processes, working with central teams to understand risks and opportunities within plans.
- Preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly financial reporting
- Working closely with the resource planning team to ensure optimal levels of resource are maintained across Operations
- Assisting the operations team with developing a ‘Best in Class’ operation, including continuous improvement projects
- Provide support from a financial perspective on projects
- Working with the central finance team to ensure month end timetables are met, including ensuring reconciliation of weekly to monthly reported figures
- Working with central finance to ensure POs are raised and approved correctly and suppliers are paid in accordance with terms
Skills Required
- Qualified accountant (ACA / CIMA / ACCA) with 1-3 years PQE
- Experience working in a logistics/distribution environment preferred
- Experience with building budgets
- Ambitious and able to challenge the operation
