We’re looking for an Imports co-ordinator to work in our Imports & bookings team at Pretty Little Thing, focusing on our Imports. Working alongside our bookings team, you’ll manage international shipments across all modes from our global suppliers, working closely with multiple forwarders and the Buying and Merchandising teams at PLT HQ.

With your keen eye for attention and excellent problem-solving skills, you will oversee daily bookings with our international suppliers, making sure that our stock is booked, shipped and delivered on time.

 

What You Will Do: 
  • Liaising with suppliers from the Far East, Middle East and Europe, ensuring that shipping documents received are processed in a timely manner
  • Liaising with the Buying and Merchandising teams on shipping documents, ensuring that data submitted by suppliers is reviewed by the B&M teams
  • Process shipment dates with various freight forwarders, ensuring product is shipped on time
  • Accurately track shipments and liaise with the warehouse to arrange a delivery
  • Managing the import documentation from suppliers – mainly invoices and packing lists
  • Full ownership of admin tasks, making sure files & documents are clear & organised
  • Preparing documents for clearance through HMRC
  • Gathering and logging data to help analyse freight costs to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and best practice for wider business
  • Issuing commodity codes for clearance and maintaining the commodity code database to ensure B&M teams are applying the correct duty rates.
  • Assist the Import management team with various tasks.
  • Ensure Suppliers are following the correct procedures and flagging any non-compliance around documentation, shipping etc.

  • Ideally already has experience working is a fast fashion environment
  • Have 1-2 years’ experience with customs clearances, HT coding and using duty management systems and CFSP procedures.

  • Be able to progress your career and learn new skills as our business grows globally and adapts to the changing consumer demands and HMRC legislation.
