Job Summary:

 

As UX designer you will work within the UX team providing design and build support for testing and experience optimisation on the Pretty Little Thing sites across multiple device types.

You will be an important part of the conception process and solution delivery for optimisation projects. Providing design insight, scoping design and build task difficulty and estimated time to delivery.

The scope of the design tasks you will be involved in will cover all areas and user journeys within the sites and app, including but not limited to checkout, registration, homepage and product pages.

 

Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities

 

 - Translating concepts and briefs into wireframes and mock-ups that lead to intuitive user experiences.

 - Design and deliver wireframes, user stories, user journeys, and mock-ups optimised for a wide range of devices.

 - Building design experiences using HTML, CSS and JS to enable A/B testing. 

 - Provide design resource to website development projects, working within Jira workflow.

 - Identifying design and user experience problems and devising elegant solutions.

 - Collaborating with other team members, stakeholders and developers to achieve optimum design and build quality.

 - Provide input and insight from a UX design perspective in optimisation workshops and projects.

 

Person Specification

 

  - Strong skills in Photoshop, HTML, CSS & JavaScript.

  - Experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions, and a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design.

  - Ability to iterate your designs and solutions efficiently and intelligently.

  - A clear understanding of the importance of user-centred design.

  - Be comfortable collaborating and communicating closely with teams and other stakeholders to regularly deliver design solutions for approval.

  - Be willing to help teammates, share knowledge and experience with them, and learn from them.

  - Be open to receiving feedback and constructive criticism.

  - Be passionate about all things UX and other areas of design and innovation. Research and showcase knowledge in the industry’s latest trends and technologies.

  - Be highly personable, you may be required to articulate and present your design solutions to management, the wider business or stakeholders from time to time.

  - Education - Relevant degree
