Job Summary

The videographer will work within a team to film and edit creative and social videos (excluding broadcast). You will need to work closely with the creative and marketing teams on the concepts and creation of these videos. You will need to research new ideas (think outside the box) for shooting, in terms of new techniques/lighting etc and bring these into practice. You will work towards making the brand stand out from its competitors. You will also assist in overseeing videos for the product pages-checking the lighting/editing, and making any improvements where required.

We want to take PrettyLittleThing.com to the next level in all aspects, and feel that video is a vital part of this, you will therefore need to be a passionate team player who can work in a team and alongside other departments in order that we can strive to lead the way creatively.

The Role

  • Work with the Marketing and Creative teams on the set brief, assisting with initial concept and planning right through to the filming and editing of the videos
  • Although videos are for creative purposes, work with the Stylist to ensure that product is filmed to show off any detail/features in order to encourage the customer to buy
  • Direct the models you are working with to get the best out of them
  • Meet deadlines set for video completion
  • Research new ideas for videos and bring these ideas into play -we want to stand out from our competitors and really want to get some amazing videos created
  • Assist in overseeing the videos for the product pages -check set up each day and quality check these to ensure that the product is shown in the best possible way-as well as ensuring that there are no missing videos and that they are passed on to be uploaded to site
  • Have a detailed knowledge and understanding of all post production processes, including the program Premiere.

  • Attends training, meetings and other events as requested by direct manager or senior management.
  • Assists colleagues by completing tasks outside of own job role when requested, including supporting associated companies.
  • Maintains own working area in a professional and organised manner.
  • Always strives to improve the department’s operation and increase knowledge of own and related job functions.
