Your Role

Reporting to the Marketing Acquisition Manager, The Senior PPC Executive will work closely with the Marketing Acquisition Manager and have regular contact with the wider marketing teams. Your role responsibilities as Senior PPC Executive include:


What you’ll do

  • Work with Online Acquisition Manager to ensure that all paid search activity falls in line with the wider paid search and digital marketing strategy
  • Day to day management and optimisation of selected international PPC, and Google Shopping accounts to constantly achieve agreed KPIs and maximise conversions within target return on ad spend.
  • Ensure that PPC & Google shopping campaigns are optimised according to best practice guidelines.
  • Manage bids via manual bidding and automated bid management solutions.
  • Pro-actively look at new ways to automate and optimise the account performance.
  • Implement new initiatives and ensure all new features / technology is being tested
  • Work with the 3rd party Google shopping feed provider and manage Shopping accounts profitably.
  • Implement correct 3rd party tracking to Campaigns, Keywords & Ads
  • Grow existing PPC accounts through continuous account campaign build outs.
  • Prepare and deliver daily, weekly, monthly campaign & bespoke reports & analysis.
  • Analyse account performance data
  • Feedback and report on campaign success.
  • Perform regular keyword research, preparation and analysis.
  • Perform weekly negative keyword research & Search query reporting.
  • Perform ongoing competitor analysis & reporting.
  • Update the new campaign and build out calendar
  • Work closely with Merch and Product teams to ensure campaigns are optimised and aligned with trading and search trends
  • Work with UX to A-B test messaging and customer journeys.
  • Co-ordinate new campaign build outs across the PPC team
  • Provide guidance to the junior team members
  • Drive day to day best practices with the junior members in the team.
  • Support with training requirements & mentoring for junior team members.
  • Fulfil relevant daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly tasks ensuring that all campaigns are executed to plan.
  • Ensure all deadlines are achieved.
  • Be an effective team player within the PPC team and wider business.
  • Excellent communication skills when working within the team, wider team and when working externally with suppliers
  • Work with merchandising team to plan accurate stock allocations for promotional and seasonal activity and day-to day forecasted sales.
  • Build strong professional relationships with the wider business.
  • Work with and maintain a strong working relationship with our ad-platform representatives
  • Keep up to date with industry developments, attend relevant conferences
  • A willingness to be on call outside of normal business hours.
  • A willingness to take all Google and industry qualifications where requested.


What you've got

  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Educated to Degree standard as a minimum requirement.
  • Proven track record in driving successful PPC campaigns.
  • Strong working knowledge of Google Adwords & Bing.
  • Experience of Google Shopping.
  • Good working knowledge of Google Analytics.
  • Google Adwords Certification.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with special attention to Excel.
  • Passion for PPC and digital marketing in general.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Strong reporting skills.
  • Highly numerate & strong communication skills
  • Experience using a bid management tool.
