Your role

We’re looking for a proactive and commercially savvy Pricing & Promotions Analyst to join our expanding FP&A Function. The FP&A team are integral to maintaining the profitability of the business through budgeting & forecasting, commercial analysis, and scenario modelling. The team is responsible for supporting multiple areas of the business and therefore a successful candidate will need to be agile in managing multiple priorities and switching from one piece of work to another. The culture at PLT is ambitious and we will be looking for like minded individuals to compliment this with fresh ideas and insight.

What you'll do

  • Work with teams around the business to understand and make commercial decisions on pricing & promotions plans & strategies
  • Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of variances
  • Ongoing carriage pricing review for all markets, including competitor review
  • Ongoing Royalty pricing review & scenario modelling for all markets
  • Ongoing multiplier/exchange rate/promo review for international markets
  • Promotions scenario modelling including sensitivity analysis (impact vs budget & forecast)
  • Influence weekly promotional plan
  • Devise and suggest new and alternative promotional strategies & tests
  • Scenario modelling & review of affiliate/student/CRM promotions
  • Monitor competitor promotional activity & establish impact on PLT performance
  •  Share findings with, and make recommendations to, both financial and non-financial stakeholders
  • Prepare presentations for Senior Management Team and directors
  • Ad-Hoc Reporting and Analysis
  • Mentor junior members of the team

What you've got

  • A background in a commercial analytical function
  • Experience creating pricing models
  • Experience creating promotional scenario models & reporting
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Track record of working in a fast-paced environment
  • History of improving commercial performance
  • Confident personality and ability to communicate effectively
  • Appetite to develop and progress
